Hey hey it’s a Matty K, yeh well this would turn out to be a trying season for our Matt as his Angel would not be in the country 07 season, With every down there is an up and so with many friends around Matt managed to have a great season until he turned amateur on us and flat landed off a cliff at Tukino ,right before the last school holidays, timing Matt,J So armed with a bottle of green ginger wine Matt would be at work with a smile on his face, selling, sometimes yelling but still here , A great personality to have and pleasure to work with, but we are a little worried that he might not have grown out of talking to his hand, We will miss ‘The Matt Service’ weather reports next year as he has chased his lady love to France.
Love conkers all!
Megan Davies (Bat Woman)

So two kiwi’s went to America the land of dreams and opportunity to recruit staff for there N.Z shop TCB,
While in Las Vega’s Ben and Mish were walking the strip drunk and stumbled upon a Blonde Megan wearing a sandwich board handing out pizza hut vouchers,so the boys thought it a great idea to drag her tiny frame off the dusty strip and give her a home in NZ FOR 3 months as a prized trophy to look good and stumble around the shop selling product this time.
Megan ended her season proving her worth in gold!!!
Stock management and fashion consulting is where she really shined.
She has also gone down in TCB history as the only 110 pound women who can drink her own weight in Tui,
hense why she is now called the Fish.
She achieved this title after being in Ohakune for just one hour.
Jono (Zoro)

One day while enjoying a feed of fish and chips at the beach,
As one dose, I grabbed a hand full of chips and through them into a pack of squawking seagulls.
As soon as the chips left my finger tips out of a near by flax bush jumped Jonno!
He was so fast he managed to catch one of the chips in his mouth, while snarling at the sea gulls to clear them away from the sandy chips.
Mish and I took one look at this boy and decided that he needed some structure in his life. So after tricking him by laying a trail of chips into the back of the TCB jeep, we bought him back to Ohakune and got his traning under way.
We are proud to say after a season of hard work Jonno is now finely tuned rental machine with both workshop experience and the only rental lad with a perfect attendance record!
Now he wraps his chips in bread and sauce, not sand!
Corey Nation (the Hulk)

Young Mr Nation had one sole ambition in life, to be a skateboarding Dare Devil! Corey spent his whole life following the International daredevil circuit, wanting to be noticed.
Young Cory hung out in the Ohakune New-World car park trying to skate through a flaming hoops with fire works straped to his helmit to impress Ohakunes young ladies, to no avail, however Cory did manage to gain enough street credit by being the only guy in his crew covered in gravel rash.
Feeling Cory needed something to occupy his time constructively, We called him into the shop and said you may not be able to skate very well, or score chicks but we can re-build you into a T.C.B rental machine, and in-turn make you the envy of your friends, then you will get alllllllll the ladies!.
Cory made his mark at T.C.B. proving to a great worker a hit with the ladies and he never turned down any job given to him, Cory is an inspiration to all the other workers in the shop, with excellent customer service and respect for everybody, workers and snow seekers a-like.
Tom (Spider Man),
Tom was your typical misunderstood youth, sporting a mullet (not as a hair cut but as a life style) Tom couldn’t even tell where the snow was.
But when we put him on it, he found his calling and became an Ohakune legend in “EXTREME” skiing!
Tom likes to think he’s a bit of a ladies man but due to his fluro outfits he has a very open man to hand relationship!!
This relationship will continue while he waits to come of age so that he can ask the Fish for her hand in marriage.
Tom has a great rapport with the customers and throws in many cheeky comments to wind up “The Mike Wiggins”
Tom is well versed in rental, workshop and is crossing over into retail to broaden his horizons in the Ski and Snowboard industry,.
All in all Tom is hard working and all round Mr Nice guy who has perfectly fitted into the .T.C.B. way of life.
Like spider man the minute we need help, he always swings into action to save the day, and we are hoping he will get the girl in the end!
Ezra (Sniffy)
While on a mountain bike ride through Horopito back blocks, we heard a groaning from behind a group of large trees,
Fearing that some one might be in hurt or in pain we quickly dropped our bikes and darted around the tree to the rescue.
Only once we rounded the tree we were shocked to find Sniffy face down making love to an apple pie!
Quickly turned and ran back to our bikes in fits of laughter!
Ezra chased after us and made us promise not to tell anyone.
He even offered to work for us for free…..
He did that for a week, he was so good In the rental and workshop we offered him a Job!
Sniffy has great customer service skills and has a keen nose for a funky ski boot!
He works hard and plays hard too, buts that’s our little secret!
Briar Peter’s (Cruella Daville)
Well this is one of gods own that needs no stimulation as she has more energy than red bull’s entire factory!!
Briar came bouncing into .T.C.B after a breezy day on the mountain raving about how great her day was to all the customers in the shop, she went on for about a half an hour and I don’t think she even took one breath!
She then proceeded to jump in and give the rental boys a hand dealing with a super busy afternoon of returns,
Briar was all about it and asked at the end of the day with a cheeky we smile “What time do I start in the morning Ben and Mishy?”. We both looked at each other like stunned mullets and said “ah… seven am”, from there on in Briar became part of .T.C.B.
Now she just needs to focus that overwhelming energy on work instead of trying to capture cute widdle innocent puppies an kittens and then dressing them up in the latest fashion.
Briar is great with fashion for the ladies and has awesome customer service skills we are happy to have such a vibrant person as part of our team, she brings a ray of sunshine to the gloomiest day!
THE "06" CREW!

The crew at the "06" TCB staff rockstar party, which ended up winning party of the year at the Ohakune Oscars!
Ben Wiggins (as Ozzy)

Ben Wiggins has been involved in Skiing and Boarding since he was 18 months old and yelling “Faster Dad Faster” while riding in his dad’s backpack.
At 3 he was greeting and chatting with customers in his parents (Mike & Vicki) ski business, at 10 he was running the rentals and after leaving college at 17, he was the retail manager in his parents ski and dive shop Junction Ski & Underwater in Auckland.
He has gained industry qualifications for ski and board tuning, repairs, specialist boot fitting plus business and rental management.
After years in Ski and board retail, Ben spent several seasons working at Snowbird in Utah, USA, chasing the endless winter! He then returned to work for ski and snowboard wholesalers in NZ before retuning to his favourite ski fields, Mt Ruapehu.
Thanks to the help and support of Mike and Vicki Wiggins(good on ya mum and Dad) and Hamish Cameron(Doing the set up hard yards!),Ben was able to open his own specialist Ski and Board shop in the heart of Ohakune’s shopping centre and looks forward to meeting with you to help you enjoy your time on the slopes this season.
Hamish Cameron (Split enz, as Neil Finn)

This burly lad from Gisborne got a taste for snow in his younger years, surfing fishing and snowboarding is his staple diet. Hamish started his ski industry career with the Ski and Board Shed, where he managed the rental department for several years and earned a reputation for his out standing ski and snowboard tunes.
As well as having an eye for detail Hamish's staff management skills mean that the TCB crew run like a well oiled machine! It's due to his blood sweat and tears that TCB looks as it does and runs so smoothly. Mish holds down the 2IC(second in charge) position.
Speaking of smooth, Hamish was the proud recipient of the "Porn Star of the Year" award at the 06 Ohakune Oscars. He definitely parties and charms as hard as he works!
Matt Knight (split enz, as Tim Finn)

Other wise know as Matt Man or Matty Dawg. This character hails from windy ol Wellington, shredding the waves at Lyal Bay was a full time job for this free spirit. Matt has done seasons down in Queens town at S n C as well as doing his time in the trenches working in the ski shed in Ohakune. Matty has an extensive knowledge of both ski and snowboard products and has the ability to stoke out even the most conservative of customers.
Due to Matty's surfing, he has always watched weather patterns very closely, in the shop he chops between up to fifteen different weather sites before making an educated guess at the following day. The "Matt Service" (as we like to call him) is our in house weather predictor and more accurate than most!
Matts our retail manager, and Dag-nab it he does a smashing job! Always on fire with his morning singing and you can pretty much guarantee you'll get greeted with a big ol WAHHHOOOO! as you step through the door.
Charles Dillon (as Ziggy Stardust)

Charles is an original Ohakune boy who lived and worked in Auckland for years,There was a time when this fellow was calm quiet and even shy, but over the "06" winter this young man has turned from mild mannered tree pruner to "Chazza Tron"! a ski rental legend, hard core skiing, partying, Casanova!
No longer shy he lives his life like a rock star, and is quite the man about town.
Charlie is one of our key rental staff and also spends allot of time in the workshop, man can he put out an awesome tune.
Charlie is in close competition with his close friend Darren Corawa. Male pride is on the line every run with these two. So Charles is constantly testing and refining the finish on his skis, so as to have the upper hand and leave his mate in the dust!
So if you want the "leave ya mate in the dust" tune, come see Chaz!
Eddwardo Manyarno (as George Michael)

Well the boy next door from the U.K., this guy would have ya mama if you didn’t keep an eye on him,. This tall lean lad rolled in of the street looking like he just got off the set of The Office ,As it turns out young Edward use to work in a office cubicle for some major marketing company in the U.K. ,Eds previous experience in cubicles would prove to come in handy at the end of the season at T.C.B’s annual staff soirée . From collar and tie to dickies and hoody, Ed transformed from geek to man meat, the ladies came and went. Feed ‘em aye eddy. This guy turned out to be a shining example of a perfect worker!
Ed would keep charging through without question and was never late, and sorry for trashing your house dude, Hooray for the Edwado-Gras. Man that was one of the best house party’s of 06!
Andrew Alden (as Sid Vicious)

At the start of the "06" season Hamish was fishing by the main road when a brown sack flew through the air from a motor vehicle, and splashed down in the stream next to him.
Soaked to the bone and cursing the motorist, Hamish noticed that the sack that was sinking into the middle of the stream was wriggling about.
Thankfully under his fishing gear Hamish had his Baywatch red speedos on, so ol hassle-Hamish quickly stripped down, grabbed his red life saving can and dove into the stream to save what he thought would be a litter of un-wanted puppies. But when the brown sack was dragged upon the shore Hamish was shocked to see a soaking wet and shivering Andrew Alden.
Since then Andy has become an essential part of the team, he is one of our key rental staff.
Andy is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all our rental and demo fleet, This young man has risen to the occasion over th "06" season through every aspect!
He works hard plays hard and snowboards even harder, he is "living the dream in Ohakune"
Tom Cambel (as Axel Rose)

Tom is a one of those good-ol-boys, he lives and breaths an Ohakune lifestyle that would make most people green with envy. If he is not shredding the slopes of Turoa you will find him on the golf course which is on his back door step (literally). What makes it worse is that he is really good at both! This little ripper is a bit of a glory boy, getting his picture in the local paper on many occasions for his "extreme" skiing!
Though tom is a young whipper-snapper, he has slaved away in the ski rental and workshop at the Junction Ski shop for several years before joining us for the "06" season. We took his his product knowledge and workshop experience and tweaked it, tuned it and expanded it! Now like the "6 million dollar man", we've made him better, stronger, faster! Tom is a valuable asset to the TCB team!
Mike and Vicki Wiggins (as Cindy Lauper and Elvis)

What would a business be without Mum and Dad!
Mike and Vicki have been in the industry for more years than I've had hot meals!
They have been there and done that with amazing results time and time again.
This dynamic duo are the un-sung hero's of TCB's success,
Mumzie toils away with the books and makes sure that all the ducks are in a line, and the boys too!
While Daddy-O rum in hand (only after 5pm or a great day skiing of course), strolls about the shop floor with outlandish tales of years gone by.
Between the two of them they bring product knowledge, know how and experience that money just can't buy, not to mention tricks of the trade that constantly dazzle and amaze the crew.
"good on ya mum and Dad"
